Visit from Grandma JoJo & Grandpa Spike (part 1)

Sonia was in heaven all last week while Grandma JoJo and Grandpa Spike (my parents) were visiting!  Here's just a sampling of the fun we had during the first few days of the visit.

When Sonia woke up last Tuesday morning and found that Grandma JoJo and Grandpa Spike had arrived in the middle of the night, she was ecstatic!  They came with us on our play group's trip to the Brookfield Zoo.

Sonia happily petted a hissing cockroach.....  EW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That afternoon, my dad had to fly to Memphis for a business trip, so we had Grandma JoJo all to ourselves for a couple of days.  Sonia had a blast swinging with Grandma JoJo at Kingston Park....

....and snuggling on the couch, being silly!

While my dad was working hard in Memphis, my mom and I took Sonia to her first gymnastics class (none of the pictures turned out all that great, unfortunately) and to the Lisle Library Halloween story time and trick-or-treat parade (again, no great pictures). Grandpa Spike returned late Thursday night, and then on Friday, we took off for Bloomington, IN, to visit my cousin, Abbey, and meet up with the Stringer clan.  More pictures to come!
