Carrot success!

Sonia ate some carrots yesterday! Granted, about half of the bowl of carrots ended up on her bib, but a bunch made it into her tummy as well. Then some carrots came back up and ended up all over her pajamas. Fabulous! This was our 5th attempt at eating carrots-- I read an article recently which said that you should offer each food at least 8-10 times without success before declaring failure for that particular food (apparently, that increases the success rate). I'm glad I read that because otherwise, I might have quit after the first time feeding Sosi carrots-- she made horrendous faces like I was trying to feed her mud!

We're midway through our attempts to feed her green beans and peas. If we have to declare peas a failure, it won't surprise me. Peas are my least favorite food on the planet!

Their tastes change all the time, foods they hate now could be their favorite in a year and vice versa. Caitlin would eat every vegetable under the sun when she was that age, now I have to make her eat a piece of carrot!
You just have to stick at it, and keep offering the ones they don't "like" over time.
